Lake Macatawa - Great Catfishing

Since i do not own a boat, this post is for shore fishermen:

Great lake for catfish, the further you can get your bait out the better, and the Dunton Park pier is my favorite spot. I use cut bait of all types, and the heads of any 3 to 6 inch-long baitfish have caught me some big channel cats. perch fishing is good right now using worms or minnows. by summer and fall, sheephead fishing is great sport, but be prepared to catch those sheepies regardless of what you are targeting. ive caugt 'em bass fishing, catfishing, perch fishing, you name it.

Chickamauga Lake - Bass Can Be Found Mid Lake

The lake is nearly full. The water temperature is above 70 degrees.

Bass are congregating on secondary points on the lower end and can be found in greater numbers in the mid lake along banks where the water depths are 4 or 5 feet deep leading into the shallow pockets. Some bass are still spawning. A bass weighing 9 pounds 15 ounces was recently weighed in in a Dayton tournament. Creature lures are a good choice. Other lures can be used. Fish your strengths for positive results.

Nolin River Lake - Largemouth Bite Is On

Largemouth bass are biting very well along rock banks near deeper water. Spinnerbaits and shallow crankbaits are catching fish early in the day with plastics producing later in the day. This is also a good time to try sinking worms on Nolin. Melon/red and pearl seems to be the favorite flavors recently. The lake is clear, rising slowly and in the upper 60's.

Nolin River Lake - Bass Are Your Best Bet

Bass fishing is still the best bet on the lake this week. Quality fish have been taken on jigs and crankbaits off chunk rock banks in 8 to 10 feet of water. Dragging small crankbaits are producing white bass and crappie near channel banks. Nolin is clear, rising very slowly and in the mid to upper 60's.

Pickwick Lake - Plenty Of Largemouth Action

Bass fishing has been good with lots of largemouth in the 12- to 16-inch range taking jig-and-plastic combos and Texas-rigged plastics around rocky banks and points. Anglers using live worms around the shorelines are catching a good mix of bluegill, shellcracker, channel catfish and drum.
